Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Loddington C of E Primary School's new website.

On behalf of the children, staff and governors of Loddington C of E Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our site.

We are delighted that you have taken the trouble to look around our site and we hope that you find it interesting and useful. Loddington C of E Primary School is a happy, friendly school situated within the village of Loddington, Northamptonshire.

The school opened in 1867, and has places for 70 pupils aged 4 to 11 years. The majority of our pupils then transfer to the local secondary school, Montsaye Community College, which is situated in nearby Rothwell.  Some of our pupils transfer to Brooke Weston CTC in Corby or Bishop Stopford CE School in Kettering.

At Loddington Church of England Christian values inform the provision of a happy, caring and secure environment which

  • values each person as an individual
  • enables each child to fulfil their potential
  • seeks to promote self esteem
  • aims for excellence in all areas of the curriculum
  • encourages children to develop responsible attitudes to themselves and others.
  • develops enquiring minds and a spirit of curiosity
  • motivates enthusiastic learners
  • develops independence and self discipline
  • enables children to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • prepares children to become responsible citizens of the future.

In order for them to achieve these aims, we provide a safe and stimulating environment for all of our pupils, whatever their individual needs.

We strongly believe that for each child to gain maximum benefit from the time spent in school, it is of the utmost importance that home and school should work together to give mutual support and encouragement.

We currently have three classes - one Foundation Stage and year 1 class, a mixed year 2 and 3 class and one class in Upper Keystage 2 with years 4, 5 and 6.  All of our class teachers are supported by an excellent team of Learning Support Assistants.

We offer an extensive range of after school activities, including an After School Club.
